If you’re looking at the Trysil piste map, it’s split into four ski areas: Høgegga, Høyfjellssenter, Skihytta and Turistsenter.  For beginners, head for the Trysil Turistsenter which is found on the south face of the Trysil; close to the main hotels. Read More

The Trysil resort is the home to the world’s oldest ski club – Trysilgutten, which opened back in 1861, and in fact one of the first ever ski races to take place happened in 1862.  All of the action is centred around the Trysil mountain – also known as Trysilfjellet.  You’ve then got the Trysil Høyfjellssenter village base which is on the north side of the mountain, with Trysil Turistsenter village on the south side.  Read more
