Snow Express, the UK to French Alps direct bus service, has launched a brand new half term route to Les Deux Alpes for the February half term week, helping families to reduce the cost of their ski holiday.
Departing London on Friday February 10th, 2017 (17.30hrs) and leaving the resort on Saturday February 18th, 2017 (18.15), the return trip costs £229 per person.
For arrival and departure on the same dates, one well known low cost airline is currently charging well in excess of £1,500 for the lowest cost fares for a family with two adults and two children (including hold luggage), with times that make it extremely difficult and expensive to get to the resort on arrival. Most of the fares with times that work well are in excess of £2,000 for a family of four, with the prime time fare coming in at over £3,340.
That doesn’t include the transfer costs from airport to resort.
But it’s not just about the cost, as Snow Express founder Dave Manley, explains:
Since starting Snow Express in the winter of 2009-2010 we have carried over fourteen thousand passengers from the UK to the Alps and increasingly we are finding a huge variety of people of all ages using the service for convenience, rather than just the cost saving. We are also now carrying more families than before and our passenger age range goes right up to eighty five years old.
During the half-term holiday week, the new service is scheduled to combine with an Action Outdoors holiday for families that is based in Les Deux Alps.
