The Experience 84 HD from Rossignol is their All Mountain offering aimed at the advanced to expert skier.

I took the 84HD for a spin last week in Montgenevre, France giving me the opportunity to test them out in a wide variety of conditions both on & off piste.

The All Mountain ski is the holy grail that all manufacturers are aiming to create, a ski with the ability to master both crisp freshly groomed pistes & deep fluffy powder. Of all the skis in this category I have experienced the 84 is perhaps embodies the nearest to achieving this.

On piste it is surprisingly sprightly for an 84mm waist, allowing great edge to edge switch for those short, tight turns. These skis want to turn for you which is great for those tough black runs, combined with their impressive edge hold.

When I took the Experience 84 off piste it’s 84mm underfoot coped excellently with the powder and changeable terrain, nimble through the challenges of the tree routes, but with lift and float in the deeper pow to trick you at times into believing you had a 100mm powder ski on your feet,

In essence the Rossignol Experience 84 HD is a versatile, true All Mountain ski perfect for the Advanced skier, whilst the experts out there will want the longer lengths available. The only area I find it lacking is in design, to look at it is nice, nothing more, nothing less!
