Each year, the resort of Alpe d’Huez organizes a mid-April crazy descent … down the legendary black track of Sarenne by bike on a beautiful carpet of freshly groomed snow … connoisseurs will appreciate.

Departure at 3,330 meters above sea level and finishing 16 kilometers lower, at 1,460 meters above sea level in the village of Huez, = 2,000 meters of descent … 

Upon arrival, a warm and friendly meal awaits them to reward them and share their impressions on this dizzying descent.

  • Start the white peak (3330m) Finish Huez (1500m)! … 2000 meters of descent on the snow.
  • Descent (untimed) 16 kilometers
  • Snack on arrival
  • For the more ardent, possibility to end the day with an afternoon of skiing on Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski and its 250 km of slopes.

The program of Sunday, April 15

8h : Meet at the ski lifts of the Rond Point des Pistes to remove the pass. Climb to 3330 m by gondola and cable car to admire the panorama.

9h30 : Departure for the descent of the Sarenne piste (Compulsory equipment: full face helmet, dorsal, long gloves, knee pads and elbow guards, provide protection against cold and snow)

Arrival at the village of Huez at 1460m altitude

Return to the gondola station (the “Télévillage”)

Brunch – Free afternoon

200 participants maximum / Registration open until Thursday, April 12 for mountain bikers over 16 years old
Registrations and reservations for Sarenne Snow Bike:
