Saas-fee

About the Resort

If you’re looking for an idyllic Swiss ski resort, Saas Fee ticks all of the boxes. As one of the oldest European resorts, you’ll find picture-postcard views, a fantastic pedestrian village that suits all of the family, and a great après-ski scene too. Let’s Talk Skiing in Saas Fee Split into five

Split into five main areas, the Saas Fee piste map is found high up in the Mischabel range of the Swiss Valais Alps. With breathtaking views, you’ll be looking out over the amazing range of mountains that include Dom; the third highest peak in the Alps, Alphubel, and Taschhorn.

Thanks to its pedestrianised-village apart from its electric buses, Saas Fee is perfect for families. It’s a very pretty place, and well deserves its status as Pearl of the Alps due to its location amongst a powder bowl, surrounded by 13 peaks that reach 4000m.

Although the resort can be quite expensive, you will find a good mix of Saas Fee accommodation options to choose from. Whether you choose a traditional Alpine-style chalet or a modern Saas Fee hotel, there’s lots of choice on offer here.

A huge plus of this resort is the Saas Fee weather – it’s one of the most snowsure resorts throughout the Alps. The beginner’s zone in particular is the sunniest area of the village, and with excellent snowmaking facilities, the sun doesn’t prove a problem.

If you’re looking for a lively resort, you’ve certainly come to the right place. There’s lots for non-skiers in Saas Fee too. Active visitors can enjoy the Acqua Allalin leisure centre which offers a children’s pool, indoor pool and whirlpool, plus indoor tennis courts, table tennis and a games room

We like Saas Fee as it’s particularly a fantastic location for families. Its pedestrian village and lively party feel, combined with stunning views of the dramatic mountainous skyline, makes it a highly popular ski destination

Saas Fee is a superb resort if you’re looking for a true Alpine experience and stunning views of the mountainous scenery. The local slopes can be limited, but you can easily get to some of the local resorts in Saas Almagell and Saas Grund via the free bus
