Cookies Kitchen Workshop is a brand new holiday launched by R&S Chalet Collection in the French ski resort of Morzine.

With a choice of either a five or seven night stay, guests will participate in preparing and cooking a daily meal from the chalet’s gourmet menus under the watchful eye and guidance of Chef Eric Fleury, aka Cookie.

Following some morning food prep, guests can enjoy the day on the slopes of the Portes du Soleil, one of the world’s largest ski areas with Morzine at its heart. Final preparation of the evening meal recommences later in the afternoon through to dinner service in the evening.

The final day (of the seven night option) will include a true gastronomic finalé created and prepared by Cookie himself.

R&S Chalet Collection Managing Director, Jonathan Dodd, comments:

For years, our infamous French head chef ‘Cookie’ has wowed our guests with dish after dish of stunning culinary perfection. Most guests return from their holidays craving recipes and an insight in to how the spectacular meals are created. We decided to offer guests the chance to learn from the master himself whilst still allowing time to experience the magnificent skiing on offer in the area.

Spaces on Cookies Kitchen Workshop are strictly limited to a maximum of 6 participants but non-cooking partners or friends that you wish to join the group are welcome with additional spaces available in the chalet for those not partaking in the cooking.

Dates: Sunday 9th April & Sunday 16th April.

Prices: £795 per person for a five night stay and £995 per person for a seven night stay. For partners or friends not taking part in the cooking workshop the five night price would be £525 per person or £680 for the seven night stay with all prices based on a minimum of two people sharing a room.

About Chef Eric Fleury

rands collecton cooking 2

Born into a foodie family, Eric attended Culinary Boarding School in Granville Normandy, where he studied Classic French Cuisine for three years with one year of formal service (Gueridon/ Trolley service practiced in most 3 Star Michelin restaurants).

He then completed his obligatory twelve months of national service in the navy as a chef before moving to the French Resort company of Club Mediterranee.

Eric moved to Australia in 1986 and opened his first restaurant there in 1987 – a typical French Bistro. His second endeavour in Australia was a charcuterie and catering business which eventually led him into film Catering where he catered for up to 1,000 cast and crew of feature films and reality shows made in Australia and the South Pacific.

His time in Australia saw him move towards the ‘fusion’ of different cuisines using his traditional French training as a base and adding the flavours of many cultures to his creations.

His move back to France has seen him take up the challenge of training chefs on the Super Yachts and working as a personal chef in private Villas in the south of France throughout the summer and wowing his chalet guests in Morzine during the winter.
