MTB addicts from around the globe have been gathering every year since 1995 in Alpe d’Huez to enjoy the craziest race you can find the MEGAVALANCHE!! The longest MTB downhill in the world at 22km and an altitude drop of 2600m. From the top of the Pic Blanc Glacier to Allemont, in the French Alps.

It spells a busy week for the 2000 participants!
The MEGAVALANCHE of Alpe d’Huez and it’s Enduro d’Oz en Oisans remains the mountain DH bike event that reunites enthusiasts everywhere during the 7 days. With the emotions, sensations, and pure downhill thrills incomparable anywhere. The cosmopolitan dimension, with more than 40 nations represented, contributes to the friendly atmosphere of this event! The Expo village is the heart with all major brands present to repair, replace and offer the best services.
An international event
People come from around the world to take part in this, most famous Mass Start Marathon Downhill! With a majority of British (32%), French (29%) and German (14%) riders ! Almost all countries from South and Eastern Europe are present, and from the rest of the world MEGAVALANCHE remains a strong symbol. In addition to the Americans, South Africans, Irish, New Zealanders, Australians and Japanese who are regulars there, came this year Balinese, Koreans, Chinese, Argentineans, Russians, Ukrainian,…
First day of racing on Wednesday with the Enduro d’Oz
During the week of MEGAVALANCHE, Wednesday is now dedicated to the Enduro d’Oz en Oisans, the three timed Specials allowing 200 competitors to time-trial across a selection of the best spots on this side of the massif.
Children ready for the Mega Kids (7-14 years old)
During this week of downhill mountain bike madness, the youngest are not forgotten, with the MEGA KIDS which brings together the 7-14 years old on a part of the qualifying race.
They will be more than 60 to take the start Friday right after the “big” qualifying starts from the top of the DMC gondola down to Alpe d’Huez city center !
