About the Resort

Just five minutes’ drive from the Bavarian-styled town of Kimberley, you’ll find the full service ski-in resort of Kimberley ski area. Having had considerable technical – and monetary investment to improve the area in recent years, it’s hidden away deep in the valley of British Columbia. Let’s Talk Skiing in Kimberley Jointly

Jointly owned by the resorts of the Canadian Rockies Group, you’ve also got Fernie to visit, or you could choose to also stretch to Big Mountain and Panorama which are found south of the border in Montana

If you’re looking at Kimberley ski accommodation, you’ll find quite a bit of choice. There are more than 40 Kimberley hotels to choose from.

When it comes to Kimberley weather, it doesn’t benefit from as much snow as you’ll find at other western British Columbia resorts, however you will find it does have some beautifully light Purcell Mountain powder – plus with it being a quieter resort, this means that the snow will last longer

We like Kimberley as it’s pretty much a hidden gem amongst Canada’s mountains. Full of Bavarian charm but without the queues, you’ve got a great choice of terrain to experience, regardless of the standard of skier that you are

Off of the slopes, you’ve got a great place to explore if you’re a non-skier in Kimberley. Wander around the Platzl shops for some souvenirs, and make sure you get some photos of the infamous cuckoo clock.

If you’re looking for a quieter resort that still has it all, the Kimberley piste map really has a lot of benefits to discover. Not as well-known as the other Canadian resorts, you’ve got a superb variety of terrain on offer, regardless of the standard of skier that you are.
