Recently Ed Sheeran chose to visit the Hintertux Glacier in the Austrian Tirol to shoot the video for his latest song Perfect.
He spent three days shooting the video, which was by all accounts a tight schedule. Apart the chair lift and ski slopes the production company used various locations around the resort to produce this fantastic film to accompany his track.
They used a the Panorama Bar at Tuxer Fernerhaus and other locations at the Sommerbergalm and the Hohenhaus Tenne. They also went to Mayhofen to use the train station. Even the perfectly groomed slopes were put to the test at a night shoot, which is said to have inspired the international film crew. The final very elaborate shoot at Hintertux, was where the road between the Hohenhaus Tenne and the Hotel Neuhintertux meets and was transformed into a typical Christmas landscape with countless colorful lights and even added “movie” snow.
On top of this Ed Sheeran is coming back to Hintertux! On the 15th December 2017 he is holding an exclusive concert for 250 invited fans at a secret location somewhere at Hintertux. It is possible for you can win four tickets at the radio channel Ö3, although this is an Austrian channel so you are likely to need to be there ahead of time or at least be able to speak German and have a local address for the duration.
