Ski resorts in Asia spread from the borders of Europe in Turkey right across to the Eastern most resort falling in the Asian part of Russia. In total there are 858 ski resorts in Asia, but with the vast majority of these being in Japan with 606 resorts.
There is a fantastic variety of skiing options and snow conditions available across this vast continent with little known resorts in countries such as Iran, Georgia and Israel. Most of all there are the awesome powder conditions for you to experience by visiting Japan where Siberian weather systems mean that there is masses of light dry powder every year.
In total there is 3,500 km of ski slopes and the highest resort reaches 4,700 m in height. To service these resorts there are 1,800 ski lifts.
